Our story

From My Family Kitchen to Yours

Why I started this

Hi, I’m Doron. Doron's Israeli Kitchen started with a simple idea: I wanted to share the food I grew up eating with our neighbors here in Connecticut. I’ve always loved to cook, and this is food I make almost every week. Now I want to go back to sharing it with my community.

I was born in Rosh Pina, a small town in northern Israel, where food has always been at the center of our home. Every meal was an event: salads on the table, warm pita fresh from the bakery, and the smell of cumin, garlic, and lemon filling the house. In 2021, my family and I moved to Stamford, Connecticut, and I found myself missing those flavors more than I expected. I realized I wasn’t the only one.

A family business

Now I cook once a week for my community. I’m married to Cynthia, and together we’re raising three kids, Yonatan, Gavriel, and Daniella, who all have strong opinions about what makes it onto the menu. Cynthia and the kids taste-test every recipe, and Cynthia is my toughest critic of all.

“Cooking has always been how I show love, hosting friends and family, feeding a full table, and cooking up a storm just because I can.”

If you really want to make my day, skip the flowers and bring me a good kitchen knife or Lego instead. And if you’re ever curious what it’s all about, I’d love for you to come by and taste it for yourself.

What I cook

I use fresh ingredients, Israeli spices, and traditional techniques. Nothing fancy, just real Israeli home cooking. I hope every bite reminds you of gathering around a table with people you love.
